Welcome to TargetMed. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TargetMed's medical exam preparation platform, including our MSRA, UKMLA, AMC question banks, mock exams, OSCE practice stations, analytics tools, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

TargetMed provides educational resources designed to assist medical professionals and students in preparing for licensing examinations including but not limited to the UK Medical Licensing Assessment (UKMLA), the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners Applied Knowledge Test (MSRA), and the Australian Medical Council (AMC) examinations. Our Services include practice questions, simulated exams, performance tracking, and educational content.

Using our Services

Eligibility and Account Registration

To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years old and either a medical student, medical graduate, practicing doctor, or healthcare professional. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself, including your medical qualifications and exam intentions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Share, distribute, copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works of our question banks, mock exams, or any proprietary content without explicit written permission;

  • Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or other means to extract, download, or systematically collect content from our platform;

  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, particularly regarding your medical qualifications;

  • Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Services;

  • Use the Services to cheat on actual medical licensing examinations or violate exam regulations of any licensing body;

  • Upload or transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. We reserve the right to disable any user account at our sole discretion if we believe there has been a breach of security or these Terms.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including your performance data, exam preferences, and study history. By using our Services, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

All content provided through our Services, including but not limited to practice questions, answer explanations, mock exams, OSCE scenarios, study guides, algorithms, software, designs, text, graphics, and logos ("TargetMed Content"), is the property of TargetMed or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the TargetMed Content for your personal, non-commercial exam preparation purposes only. This license does not permit you to:

  1. Resell, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit any TargetMed Content;

  2. Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on our content;

  3. Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from our content;

  4. Use our content for any purpose other than personal exam preparation.

You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to our platform, such as personal notes. By submitting content to our platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content in connection with providing the Services to you.

Our Fees

Subscription Plans

TargetMed offers various subscription plans, including free and premium tiers. Premium subscriptions provide access to additional question banks, full mock exams, detailed analytics, and other enhanced features. All fees are stated in the currency indicated on our pricing page and are exclusive of applicable taxes.

Billing and Payments

By purchasing a premium subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees using a valid payment method. Subscriptions may be billed on a monthly or annual basis, as selected during checkout. We use third-party payment processors to handle all transactions securely. You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for all applicable fees.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your premium subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law. If you cancel, you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your paid period.

Free Trials

We may offer free trials of premium features. If you sign up for a free trial, you may be required to provide payment information. Unless you cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription, and your payment method will be charged.

User Obligations

Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate information about your medical background, qualifications, and exam intentions. Misrepresentation of your credentials or intended use of our Services may result in termination of your account.

Educational Purpose

You acknowledge that TargetMed provides educational resources for exam preparation only. Our Services are not a substitute for formal medical education, clinical training, or professional medical advice. We do not guarantee exam success, and your actual exam results may vary.

Content Limitations

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date content, medical knowledge and exam formats evolve. We do not warrant that our content is exhaustive, error-free, or always reflective of the most current exam blueprints or medical guidelines. You should consult official exam resources and medical literature for definitive information.

Suspension and Cancellation of Accounts

Suspension or Cancellation by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, including by:

  • Sharing your account credentials or allowing unauthorized access;

  • Attempting to copy, redistribute, or resell our content;

  • Using our Services for fraudulent or illegal purposes;

  • Providing false information about your medical qualifications;

  • Engaging in abusive or harmful behavior toward other users or our staff.

Cancellation by You

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon cancellation, your right to access the Services will cease immediately, and any data associated with your account may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policies.

Consequences of Termination

Upon termination of your account for any reason:

  • Your right to access the Services and your account will immediately cease;

  • You must cease all use of the Services and any downloaded materials;

  • Any outstanding fees will become immediately due and payable;

  • Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Intellectual Property, Limitations of Liability, and General provisions.

Our Role and Disclaimers

TargetMed is an independent educational platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the UK General Medical Council (GMC), the Australian Medical Council (AMC), the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), or any other official medical licensing body. Our practice questions and mock exams are developed based on publicly available exam formats and medical knowledge, but they are not official exam materials.

Warranties and Disclaimers

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TARGETMED DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • OUR SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS;

  • OUR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE;

  • THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USING OUR SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR GUARANTEE EXAM SUCCESS;

  • ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICES WILL BE CORRECTED.

Your use of our Services is at your sole risk. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of any information obtained through our Services and for your decisions and actions based on such information.

Limitations of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TARGETMED, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES;

  • ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES;

  • ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICES;

  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT;

  • FAILURE TO PASS ANY MEDICAL EXAMINATION OR LICENSING TEST.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.

General

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through our Services or by other means. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

Services means the TargetMed platform, including all question banks, mock exams, OSCE stations, analytics tools, and related features accessible via our website and applications.

User means any individual or entity that accesses or uses our Services.

Website means the website(s) located at www.targetmed.com and all related domains and subdomains.
